Appliance Brands We Repair

We repair every brand that comes in, from builder-grade to built-in. We are an independent repair company, not a factory-authorized service center, and we bring over 15 years of repair experience to whatever is in your kitchen or laundry room.

Double-door refrigerator

All brands, one independent shop

We do not refuse any brand. Many brands share a manufacturer, so a Maytag, a KitchenAid and an Amana often use the same parts as a Whirlpool, and the repair is the same work.

Being independent means we are not tied to one manufacturer. Parts come from the manufacturer's distribution or a reliable supplier, and we tell you which before the repair. If your appliance is under a manufacturer warranty, an extended warranty or a home service contract, we accept those dispatches when the coverage company assigns them; warranty appliance repair explains how that works.

The model number matters more than the brand name. Send it with your request so we can check parts before we drive out.

Symptoms

What we see by brand

A few notes from the field on the brands we work on most. Your problem may be different; the diagnosis decides.

  • Whirlpool

Whirlpool also builds Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana and Jenn-Air, and many Kenmore models. Top-load washers that will not spin or agitate and dryers with a blown thermal fuse are regular calls.

  • GE, GE Profile and Café

GE refrigerators with a warm fresh-food section usually come down to a defrost or evaporator fan problem. Profile and Café share much of the same engineering with more features on top.

  • Samsung

On Samsung French-door refrigerators, ice buildup in the ice maker compartment in the door is a common call. Samsung front-load washers report most faults as codes, which tell us where to start testing.

  • LG

LG refrigerators with a linear compressor that stop cooling often need a sealed-system diagnosis, which we do. LG front-load washers that will not drain usually have a blocked pump filter or a failed drain pump.

  • Frigidaire

Frigidaire is part of the Electrolux family. Side-by-side ice makers that stop producing and electric ranges with a failed bake element are frequent repairs.

  • Maytag

Built by Whirlpool, so most parts and repairs line up with Whirlpool models. Top-load washers and dryers are most of the Maytag work we see.

  • KitchenAid

Also a Whirlpool brand. KitchenAid dishwashers that are not draining or not cleaning, and built-in refrigerators that need to come out of the cabinetry, are typical jobs.

  • Kenmore

Kenmore appliances were built by other manufacturers. The digits before the dot in the model number tell us who made it, for example 106 and 110 for Whirlpool, and 795 and 796 for LG, and that tells us which parts fit.

  • Bosch

Bosch dishwashers are quiet and well built. An E15 code means water in the base pan, so we look for the leak rather than just resetting it; E24 and E25 point at the drain.

  • Electrolux

Same family as Frigidaire, with many shared parts. Front-load laundry and ranges are most of the Electrolux work.

  • Amana

A Whirlpool brand with straightforward designs, often in rentals. Top-freezer refrigerators and top-load washers are usually simple, well-supported repairs.

  • Jenn-Air

A Whirlpool brand at the high end: built-in refrigerators, wall ovens and downdraft cooktops. Mention a built-in or downdraft unit when you schedule.

  • Speed Queen

Heavy-duty washers and dryers in homes, laundromats and coin-op rooms. They are made to be repaired, and we service residential and commercial machines.

  • Thermador

Part of the Bosch family. On gas cooktops and pro-style ranges, a burner that clicks without lighting usually means a dirty or cracked igniter or a spark module problem.

  • Sub-Zero and Wolf

We work on them. Tell us the model when you schedule so we can confirm parts and service information first.

  • Haier

Haier owns GE Appliances and also sells under its own name, often compact refrigerators, wine coolers and small-footprint laundry. Send the model so we can identify the parts.

  • Hotpoint

GE's value line, with simple, durable designs and many parts shared with GE. Top-freezer refrigerators, ranges and laundry are the usual Hotpoint calls.

Repairs by appliance

Whatever the brand, the repair starts with the appliance and the symptom:

If you smell gas, see sparks or smell smoke from any appliance, stop using it, leave the area and call your gas utility or 911 from outside before scheduling a repair.

Questions

Brand questions

Is there a brand you do not repair?

No. We work on every brand. What we do not service is a type of appliance: countertop microwaves, small kitchen appliances, HVAC and water heaters.

Are you a factory-authorized service center?

No. We are an independent appliance repair company. We accept manufacturer warranty, extended warranty and service-contract dispatches when the coverage company assigns them to us; see warranty appliance repair.

Where do I find the model number?

On a sticker or plate: inside the refrigerator on a side wall, on the rim of a washer lid or door opening, inside a dryer door frame, on the edge of a dishwasher door, or on an oven door frame or storage drawer.

Do you use original manufacturer parts?

When an original part is available and makes sense, yes. If we suggest an alternative, we tell you before the repair.
